Connect weclapp to Claude

weclapp has no MCP server of its own, but a fully documented REST API. The known open-source servers for it are licensed under AGPL or SSPL, so XenMCP plans its own lean server directly on the weclapp API.

The server starts read-only. Write tools such as creating a quote can be switched on deliberately; your AI client then asks before every change.

What you need to connect

• Your weclapp tenant (the subdomain from https://<tenant>.weclapp.com)
• An API token (My settings → API token) – ideally from a dedicated user who sees only the areas needed
• A decision whether write access is needed (default: read-only)

Security

• The API token inherits the rights of the weclapp user. Create a dedicated user with narrow rights for it.
• The token is stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM, never shown and never logged.
• Each server runs in its own sandbox (gVisor) in Germany; the call log holds only tool, status and duration.
• Your AI client processes the results in its own infrastructure.

There is no open server for this system yet that meets our criteria. We are building one on the official API.
